It has been 2 whole days since I got the phone call from Jennifer. I still feel like this is all a dream.
Yesterday while I was waiting for the Fed Ex delivery(that never came), I spent most of the day trying to learn more about Spencer's surgery and what is if any problem may still be ahead of us. Spencer was diagnosed with a Congenital Megacolon 5 days after he was born and did spend some additional time in the hospital. Once he was released he went to Eastern's Baby Home were they put together a treatment plan. Two months later Spencer had he first of two surgeries to correct this problem. After reading the report and looking at all of the pictures this problems seems to have been resolved, but just to make sure I emailed all of the pictures and medical records to the University of Minnesota International Adoption Clinic for review. I have been told by many other APs that this is the place to go. Yes, these reviews can be expensive, but it is a small price to pay for some peace of mind.
Hopefully by Wednesday of this week, I will have a report from the Dr.s and we can proceed forward with the adoption.
