Finally we got the call we have been waiting for!!! Spencer is ready to come home!! Everything started last week. Last Monday 8/16 was Spencer's first birthday. We were sad that we couldn't share his big day with him. I emailed Pat Radley the next day to find out if she had heard anything about Spencer. She said she would contact Eastern to see if his EP had been returned. She did say that she had received new pictures of Spencer and would mail them to me.. Pat emailed me the next day and said that Spencer's EP had been returned!! WOO-HOO Two days later the 20th was Spencer's visa appearance! My mom called me with the news. She had called the State Department ealier in the day and nothing, but she called again in the afternoon and there he was!! The lady at the State Department explained the visa interview would be in a few days and then the visa would be issued. The on Monday, I called the State Department to find out if the interview had been scheduled and the man told me the visa had been issued!! I emailed Karl, Pat, my mom and mother in law with the great news. Later that night I talked to Karl and told him that I thought the travel call would be the next day. So we booked him a ticket home from Yorktown for Thursday with plans to leave for Korea on Saturday. The next day Pat sent me an email that said your son is ready to travel! I emailed Karl with the great news, then I emailed my mom and mother in law! I told everyone I work with, quickly booked our flights and hotel.. Then I went home for the day!! The packing had offically begun. Karl flew home on Thursday and Friday the 27th was my last day of work. It was hard to leave. I have great co-workers that have been a great support during our journey. Karl and I are so appreciate of their kindness and generosity.
We leave tomorrow morning at 9:45!!
