Okay, tomorrow it will be a week that I mailed the acceptance package to Lifelink. As far as I can tell it has not been delivered. This was mailed via Priority Mail. What a joke! When I check the status online it says that the resort was completed. When I call the 800 # to check on it the message says that on Saturday 2/13/10 it was out for delivery, but not delivered. So today, I went back to the post office that I originally mailed the package from to see if they could help me. Patrick,a very nice guy who works there, said that the package may be "stuck" at the post office in Bensenville. Patrick then said that if the package was not delivered today, to have Ann call the local post office and see if it is there. So basically after they messed up and sent my very important package to the wrong place, now they have no idea where it is! I am totally freaking out at this point.
So even though Ann has not responded to the email I sent her last week, I went ahead and called her. I left her a message to call me about the package. Let's see if she actually calls.
UPDATE- I just called the post office in Bensenville and spoke to Bob. I explained the situation. First he said that Lifelink doesn't get delivery, that they send someone in to pick up the mail. Then he asked me for the tracking number and said well it must be on the truck out for delivery! So do they get delivery or not?
USPS tracking is a joke. Never use it. I just sent out a package...paid a whole dollar more tracking and it still is not registering. I called the place that I sent it and the guy told me it might take weeks for them to actually show that they ever had it. I have decided NEVER to use USPS for anything..ever again. And they want to take over health care??? Scary.
