Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I can't believe today is Christmas. I really hoped we would be spending Christmas with our baby this year, but that was not to be. Even though he is not here with us and we don't even know who he is yet, we think of him always. Our baby to be received many Christmas gifts again this year.

I am happy to have Karl home this year. We've had a very busy week. I had to work Monday and Tuesday. After work on Tuesday, Karl and I went to the Shoppes at Wiregrass and watched the Symphony of Lights display. It was spectacular. I wish it lasted longer( only 10 minutes).

On Wednesday we met with my dad's friend Harold Imhoff. Harold is a notary and he was happy to notarize all of our acceptance papers(all 15 pages) for free! After that we spent the rest of the day shopping and going to other appointments.

Karl's mom came to visit us last week. She spent a few days with us after her cruise. We spent one day in Orlando. While there, we went to the Gaylord Palms Resort for the ICE! show. They have carved tons and tons of ice into the most spectacular things, everything from ornaments, Eskimos, polar bears, a carousel, to Santa's sleigh and eight reindeer. The highlight had to be the Nativity. It was breathtaking. It was hard to believe that all of that ice was inside of this beautiful resort. They kept that whole space at 9 degrees! We had hot chocolate while we were there and it was great! After that we went to City Walk and had dinner at Margaritaville. We really had a great time. Then the next day we learned that a terrible blizzard was headed for NY and Karl's mom would have to leave to head back to NY 2 days early. Karl and I were disappointed because we had so many things planned and places we still wanted to take her to.

Everyone came over last night for dinner. While I was at church with mom, poor Karl was home cooking away. We were serving Beef Wellington for dinner. Karl was really nervous because we had never made it before. The dinner was wonderful and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Karl is playing with his new toy right now. I got him an Apple I Touch for Christmas. Soon we will be getting ready to head over to Frank and Angie's for Christmas dinner.
